PASTOR JUAN
New Generations Church
Chichicastenango, Guatemala

“I had what people called the American Dream, and my plan was to do life in America. But God’s plan was to come back and serve in my country and others in Latin America. I accepted His will and let go of everything in America. I came back to Guatemala with nothing – no clothes, no money, no place to stay, but willing to serve God.”

Pastor Juan and his wife Evelyn are ministering to the Mayan people in an area that struggles with poverty and malnutrition. His church serves food after the weekly service and looks for other ways to serve the people in his congregation and community, both spiritually and physically.

Special Prayer Request

Recently, there was a significant earthquake that damaged the building that serves as the church and home of Pastor Juan’s family. The building is dangerous to occupy but Pastor Juan’s family has no other place to stay. There is a building on the property that can be inexpensively and quickly renovated so that their family has a safe place to live. Jeremy is planning a trip to Guatemala Aug 23-31 to help Juan renovate the property.

We are asking you to pray for their safety over the next few weeks as they live in a building that is on the verge of collapsing. Please also pray that we can raise the $2,500 needed for building supplies within the next couple of weeks.

$2500 Needed for Building Supplies by August 16th

Amount Already Donated: $1,000
