Housing & Construction Project
Safe Living Space: The primary goal of the trip was fixing up a secondary building to provide a safe home for Pastor Juan and his family after an earthquake made their previous house/church building unsafe.
Renovations & Move-In: Jeremy and Juan installed drywall, added electrical wiring, sealed the building against bugs and elements, painted, and installed flooring. The family was able to move in the day Jeremy returned to the city to fly home. Praise the Lord!

Church Ministry & Community Outreach
Preaching & Youth Focus: Jeremy preached at Pastor Juan’s church service on Tuesday, which had over 40 children in attendance! The ministry focuses heavily on reaching children in the community, which is why he named his church New Generation Church.
Weekly Meal Distribution: Regular support from a North American church enables Pastor Juan to provide a weekly meal to his church. They made spaghetti for 75 people while Jeremy was there.
Clean Water Filters: Jeremy, Juan, and Paul assembled and distributed water filter bucket systems—including one for Pastor Juan’s household and church—to provide church families access to safe drinking water.
Prayer Requests
Mayan People in Chichicastenango: There are significant community issues, including false religion, idol worship, extreme poverty, alcoholism, and absentee fathers. Josefina: Please pray for Josefina, a faithful church attendee whose 24-year-old husband passed away unexpectedly this week. This has left her family in severe financial and emotional hardship.
Next Steps with Juan: Pray for us as we determine next steps for supporting Pastor Juan’s ministry long-term.
Pastor Juan and Evelyn expressed deep gratitude to supporters, viewing the assistance as a long-awaited answer to prayer. Thank you for your prayers and support for their ministry!
